We don't usually guide for bears, but Mike has guided in the past for lodges and couldn't pass up the opportunity to get his son Noah on one of the many number of bears around camp. 
Congratulations to Noah on his first Maine black bear! 165 lb female with a beautiful coat. We watched this bear come in to our bait for over a week before we got a daytime shot at it.  Her teeth were in very poor condition, and I don't know if she would have made it through the winter. Now we'll butcher the meat and pack it in the freezer!
